Speedup Starting and Shut Down on your PC

Below are steps that can be taken effect on Window 2003\XP\Vista. However, the technic and setting will be some difference depend on system environment.

"Start"->"run", at Open blank text area type "regedit", click OK to enter "Registry Editor".

First step:
Locate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop".　　

Find "AutoEndTasks", right click mouse to modify --> Edit String --> displace the data value with 1;
　
Find "HungAppTimeout", displace the data value with 200, default is 50000;

Find "MenuShowDelay",displace the data valuewith "0", it will make the delay effect of display program's menu more faster.　　

Find "WaitToKillAppTimeout", displace the data value with 1000, default is 20000.

Second step:
Locate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control".
displace "WaitToKillServiceTimeout" data value by "200", after this step, obviously, speed of closing your PC will be more faster than before.

Third step:
Locate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Shutdown ,right click your mouse --> NEW --> DWORD Value --> name it "FastReboot" and set the data value by 1.

Besides, i got a trick to reduce time of scroll bar when we starting our PC, locate to
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters",find "EnablePrefetcher", displace data value from 3 to value 1.

After all steps from above, please make sure to close the Registry Editor and restart your PC and only can take effect.
