This was the scene at the recent national-level Robocon Competition 2008 (Robocon) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) in Bangi, Selangor.

The theme for this year's contest is “Govinda – Touch the Sky”, based on myths surrounding the Dahl Handi Festival celebrated in North India, in line with the theme of the international competition to be held in India.

UTM undergraduates once ability by winning Robocon 2005 at PWTC on 23 April 2005. That year’s victory was a hat trick after had won in 2003 and 2004. In 2003, UTM represented Malaysia to compete at the international level in Bangkok, Thailand and in 2004 in Seoul, Korea. UTM will compete in Beijing, China on 27 August 2005. This show that UTM won Robocon Malaysia for three years in a row.
